I have so much to catch up on here, and the first of all is my groove. I talked about this before but I had a good evening groove going, then switched to mornings and realized my mornings are hell. Meetings, UK/EU team wraps up their day, half of our office is gone by like 12-1, and then any appointments… it’s all a mess until the afternoon when things are dead - and I can finally catch up on my work. So my blog time is all out of whack. I think I need to get back to evenings, and of course tonight I’m away from home and not getting back until late. But there’s so much going on that I want to make a proof of life update, then get back to the norm right away.
Here are a few Button Shy / board game-adjacent things that are worth sharing.
Pokemon Museum in Chicago
I was lucky enough to get out to the Field Museum for their Pokemon exhibit last weekend and it was super cool. I’ve been a fan of the card game since like 1998 (and I have quite a collection going since back then), so this was very special to me. Everyone gets a promo card, and there’s a little original 3 Pokemon card display on the way in, but otherwise it’s all fossils, which is equally as cool. Here are a few photos.
Bamboo Bricks made a Lego ROVE Jr and it’s awesome
This popped up on discord and it was super cool. It might be one of the first in depth Button Shy Lego builds? I don’t think we have a ton of game elements that would translate to Lego (although I’m sure you will all prove me wrong), so this was very surprising to see. Alongside Pokemon, I’m a big Lego collector, and now I’m a mess with them releasing like 100 Pokemon sets last month…
Anyway this is so cool.
The instructions are uploaded to our discord, so I’ll share a link to the message just incase you want to build your own. I know I do.

We are moving forward on all of the projects and I have so much to talk about on all of them
I’ll save these for the daily posts, but here are a few photos of things we’ve been working on.
Catch you all next time, which is hopefully tomorrow!

Glad to see you back in my inbox. Looking forward to the updates on the individual projects when you get time!
